    Day 1Tuxtla Guitierrez – Cañon del Sumidero – Chiapas de Corzo – San Cristobal de Las Casas

    Meet and greet at Tuxtla Airport and move to dock for touring in a boat through the cañon del Sumidero one of the most spectaculars natural reserves in Mexico; it is a geological failure formed 36 million years ago with walls of calcarea type elevating to more than 1,000 m., caves and cascades among which it is the “Christmas Tree”, a rocky structure. Before the end of the tour, you will visit Chiapa de Corzo, a town that was the first settlement founded by the Spaniards with its Mudejar fountain knows as “La Pila”, built in the XVI century; it is sample of the colonial architecture with an Arabic influence. After visit Chiapas de Corzo you will continue to your hotel in San Cristobal de las Casas.

    Day 2San Juan Chamula – Zinacatan – San Cristobal de Las Casas

    Visit on the foot the city of San Cristobal, market of fruit and vegetables, handcrafts market, churches of Santo Domingo and Cathedral; then in a van, move to a Tzotzil community of San Juan Chamula, famous because its traditions and festivities, it has one of the most enigmatic churches in the country in its interior, the Chamulas participate in syncretic rituals creating a magic atmosphere. Then, move to Zinacantan another tzotzil community, its temple is from the colonial age, though redecorated as neoclassic in the XIX century. In its interior it is possible to appreciate the peculiar mixture of catholic and indigenous beliefs. Most of the Zinacantecos cultivate flowers which colors remind us the color of their customs.

    Day 3Chicultic – Amatenango – Montebello – San Cristobal de Las Casas

    Departure from San Cristobal via Comitan de Dominguez, visiting Chicultic, this is an interesting archeological Mayan site adding spectacularity of the location dominating the lakes zone and the broad Comtecos valleys; then visit five of the 56 Montebello lagoons, famous for the different color of the water due to the type of the underwater ground, vegetation and refraction of light. On the way back, visiting the pottery community of Amatenango Del Valle, famous because of the handmade crafts of clay fired in an open wooden oven.

    Day 4San Cristobal – Agua Azul – Palenque

    Departure from the hotel to Palenque, on the way we will have a technical stop before getting to Ocosingo, then we will visit The Agua Azul Cascades rapids, falling and backwaters of the Tulija River; the river beauty, its shining and turquoise color captivates you. End of the tour at a hotel in Palenque.

    Day 5Bonampak – Yaxchilan – Palenque

    06:00 AM Departure from the hotel in Palenque, excursion all day long to visit the archeological zone of Bonampak, mysterious archeological site with the finest murals found until now, where it is represented scenes of war, sacrifices and celebrations. Move to Frontera Corozal to take a boat along the Usumacinta River where you can see spider monkeys, crocodiles and tropical birds, looking on one side at the Peten Jungle and on the other side the Lacandon Jungle. Arrival in the archeological zone of Yaxchilan, an important Mayan city sunk in the jungle, the main structure in this site in temple 33. Afternoon back to the hotel in Palenque.

    Day 6Palenque Archeological Zone – Villa Hermosa or Campeche

    Visit the archeological zone of Palenque is one of the most remarkable Mayan cities because of its beautiful sculptural art and important architecture in the middle of the green jungle. At the end of our tour we will transfer you to Villahermosa airport to take a flight for the next tour or moving to a hotel in Campeche.
