    Day 2Inside Campeche City Tour

    Begin your adventure Inside Campeche with a cultural city tour in Campeche, a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1999. Your first stop is the Museo de Estelas Mayas, located in the San Pedro Bulwark. Here, you’ll see Mayan stelae and regional art. Next, visit the historic Puerta de Tierra, where a bronze cannon from the 18th century stands proudly. From the ramparts, enjoy views of Campeche’s beautiful church domes. Continue your journey to the Bastion of San Francisco and the Bastion of San Juan, where you’ll find a fascinating museum dedicated to the history of piracy.

    Strolling Through the Streets of Campeche

    As you walk down Calle 59, known as the “Casas de Colores” for its brightly painted houses, you’ll pass by colonial doors and windows that reflect the town’s history. Along this street, you can explore art galleries, handicraft stores, and churches. Don’t miss landmarks like the Parque de la Independencia, the Cathedral, and the Puerta del Mar—the original entrance to the walled city. To end the day Inside Campeche, enjoy a light and sound show at La Puerta de Tierra, followed by a leisurely stroll through the Historic Center. You can also relax along the picturesque 3.5-km boardwalk that leads to parks and a tourist walkway.

    Day 3Discovering Hochob and Tabasqueño Archaeological Sites

    On Day 3 of the Inside Campeche tour, start with a two-hour transfer to Hochob, an ancient Maya site whose name means “ears of corn.” Once a thriving city, Hochob offers a glimpse into Maya life from 300 AD. Walk through ancient terraces and platforms as you learn about the public and religious buildings that once stood there. Later, visit Tabasqueño, a site first documented in 1895 by explorer Teobert Maler. Here, you’ll explore buildings in the Chenes architectural style, dating from the Late Classic period between 650 and 850 AD.

    Day 4Exploring Santa Rosa Xtampak

    The next leg of your Inside Campeche tour takes you to Santa Rosa Xtampak, considered one of the most important regional capitals of the Chenes.
